Girls on the Run (GOTR)

Girls on the Run is a national program that promotes physical fitness and self confidence through running and group activities.  The program encourages girls in grades 3 and 4 to be the best they can be both physically and emotionally. 
 
The 2018 Emma GOTR team will include 20 girls, who will be accepted on a lottery basis.  Registration information will be sent home in early February.  Interested 3rd and 4th graders should work with their parents to register online at www.gotrwnc.org.  Students who are unable to register online may submit a paper registration.  The 2017 cost to participate ranges from $20 to $125 based on a household income sliding scale.  Both online and paper registration must be completed by noon on February 22nd.
 
Emma's GOTR team will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4:00 beginning on Monday March 5th.  Please be aware that all participants must have a ride home.
 
The Spring GOTR 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday May 20th.
