Meet the Assistant Principal- Margo Hale

Hello Emma Cougars. My name is Margo Hale and I am so excited to be the Assistant Principal at Emma Elementary School.

This is my 23rd year as an educator. I started my teaching career in Transylvania County schools at Brevard Elementary where I was a kindergarten teacher and a Title I Math teacher. I moved to Asheville in July 2000 and started with Buncombe County schools where I taught second, third and fifth grades at  Charles C. Bell Elementary School. I was there for 11 years before I moved into an Instructional coach position for the past 10 years.

I attended Western Carolina University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1994 and completed a Master of Science Degree in School Administration in 2018.

On a personal level I am a proud parent of two daughters and a Shih Zu named Chewie. My oldest daughter just graduated from the University of Charlotte  While my youngest daughter is a sophomore East Tennessee State University. During my free time I enjoy spending time hiking in our beautiful mountains, reading a good book and spending time with my family.

Education is truly my passion and I am fortunate to be able to go to work every day and do what I love. I look forward to working with students, parents, teachers, and the community to help our students achieve their highest and full potential.

Please let me know if I can assist you in any way during the 2020-2021 school year. I am excited to be part of this school and community as an Emma Cougar!
