Overview

Media Center

Emma's media center provides access to a variety of resources including books, magazines, the Internet, audiovisual materials, and more.  These resources are available to support student learning and to help students become avid readers and lifelong learners.  A full-time librarian (Kirsten McDonald) and part-time assistant (Bonnie Phillips) help students find the materials they need for research projects and for independent reading.

The media center's instructional program uses fixed scheduling with students in grades K-2 and flexible scheduling with students in grades 3-4.  In addition, students come throughout the day to check out books and other materials.

Emma's media center has more than 12,000 items available for check out, our average publication date is 2003, and our annual circulation averages more than 39,000 items.
