Lesesne, Julia (3rd Grade)

Welcome to my Classroom
Julie Lesesne

Welcome to our 2018-19 third grade classroom.  This is a new year for hard work, learning, fun and adventure.
I am happy to be here in my thirteenth year at Emma and my second year teaching third grade.   I am from South Carolina and graduated from Wofford College in 1981.  I returned to college at UNC-Asheville twice, earning a 9-12 Social Studies teaching license and a K-6 license.  I began teaching kindergarten at Emma in the fall of 2006, moved to second grade in 2008, and first grade in 2011. This is my second year teaching third grade.

This year Whitney Roberts is our part-time assistant.  Ms. Roberts worked at Emma for a short time last year and we are happy to have her back this year both in our classroom as well as in the STEM lab.  We are excited to have her as a part of our class.

Our class has written a class mission statement as a part of our study of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids.  We worked to create this over several days and are proud to share it. Our mission statement is as follows:

We come to school to learn and grow, to work hard and share with others, to do and be our best, and to have fun with friends.
